About Maple and Rose Weddings

Maple and Rose is a fully renovated c.1850 heritage home with modern finishes.  (Literally every corner and space has been thoughtfully designed!) It is located in the quaint village of Merrickville, Ontario.  Maple and Rose Weddings offers whole-home accommodations and can sleep up to 16.  They also currently specialize in intimate private estate celebrations of up to 40 people.

 

Wedding Day Getting Ready Spaces and Overnight Accommodations

You will find Maple and Rose is an ideal getting ready location for your wedding day.  For both you AND your partner if you wish.  You won’t need to book two separate getting ready locations for yourselves and your crew.

Rooms

At Maple and Rose, you will have access to over 5000 square feet of useable getting ready or celebration space.  There are 8 spacious bedrooms that can accommodate up to 16 overnight guests.  Each room has a unique theme and décor.  All rooms are very elegant, romantic and tasteful.

The main floor offers a full kitchen, fireplace sitting room, dining space and sunroom.  Here, you will have ample space for getting ready activities like hair and makeup for the bridal crew.

All bedrooms are connected to private or ensuite bathrooms making changing into wedding outfits a breeze.  You won’t need to squeeze into one or two bathrooms and fight for mirror space on wedding day!

For their fall wedding, M & S got ready at Maple and Rose.  M chose The Rose Room to slip into her gown with her bridesmaids’ assistance.

 

The RGA Lounge

You can use the RGA Lounge — a separate outbuilding from the house — for a getting ready space for your partner.  OR, you can use it as a convenient designated hair and makeup getting ready space for your wedding party, leaving the main house uncluttered, neat and tidy and ready for celebrating or photos.  The RGA Lounge has space for 16 people, an array of comfortable seating both high and low, fireplace, kitchenette, washroom and LOTS of gorgeous, natural light.  Your hair and makeup artists will absolutely love this space.   It’s my preferred space for “getting ready”, leaving the rest of the home safe and peaceful from the “busyness” and oftentimes chaos of hair and makeup activities.

Wedding Day Snacks & Bubbles

Additionally, you can customize your stay with Maple and Rose’s local concierge services.  You can add on bubbles, food and snacks to make for a more convenient, enjoyable morning of getting ready or celebrating.  Catered meal delivery is also available.

Most importantly, the home can sleep up to 16, making it a perfect location to retire to with your partner, family or wedding party at the end of your night.

 

Ceremony Spaces and Locations at Maple and Rose

Currently, Maple and Rose can host intimate celebrations of up to 40 guests.  You can choose to host your intimate ceremony outdoors in the landscaped gardens.  There is lots of flexibility with locations.

For micro weddings, the main floor fireplace area or dining area may be two lovely indoor options that could be configured in case of foul weather or for winter weddings.

However, for couples with more than 40 guests, The Knox, Baldachin Inn and local Merrickville churches are popular nearby options that can accommodate your numbers.

 

The Grounds / Surrounding Areas / Photographic Opportunities

You will have no shortage of photographic opportunities at Maple and Rose Weddings, indoors or out.

The lovingly landscaped gardens and front porch are perfect for wedding party and family photos.

Indoors, EVERY room of the home sparks inspiration.

The Rose Room is popular with brides and their entourage.  It’s a cute space with a pink theme, stained glass window accent and floral mural.

You won’t want to miss the stained-glass window and clawfoot bathtub in The Maple Room.

Pro Tip:  However, my personal favourite is The Watchorn Suite with its neutral décor, ample space and gorgeous natural light.  The cherry on top in this suite is the turret that can make for a stunning bridal portrait.

If you’re planning a First Look, the wraparound porch is ideal for that sweet moment.

Truly, you will find creative options in EVERY room, including the common areas like the Sunroom and quaint Gathering Areas throughout the home.

Additionally, a brief walk to the Merrickville Ruins and locks will give you other creative opportunities that are near Maple and Rose.

*NEW* As of 2026:  Private Estate Wedding Weekends at Maple and Rose

As of 2026, Maple and Rose is launching “Private Estate Wedding Weekends”  for couples seeking exclusivity, lots of flexibility, ease and a beautifully hosted wedding weekend in the heart of Merrickville.

With this offering, you will have two nights exclusive use of the venue.  Overnight accommodations will still be available for 16.  As the couple getting married, you can choose any of the suites as your honeymoon suite.  It will be properly appointed for you, complete with a luxurious welcome gift for you to enjoy.  You will appreciate the early check-in and late check-out.

As well, you can host an additional 24 daytime guests on your wedding day.

Ceremony and reception locations on the property are flexible and can be modified to suit your vision.  You will also have access to Maple and Rose’s curated in-house decor to complement your celebration.

Maple and Rose offers catered meal delivery or the culinary experience of a private chef.  A sweetheart cake is included by Violets on Main.

A relaxing, post-wedding brunch for up to 16 guests is included.

Your vendors will definitely appreciate the extended access for setup and breakdown.  Pre- and post- tent, table, chair, decor and bar installations will be a breeze.

In addition, Maple and Rose now has preferred and exclusive vendor partnerships.  You can trust these vendors for best pricing and top-tier professionalism.  In order to preserve the Maple and Rose experience and property, vendors outside of this curated list will need pre-approval.  The Maple and Rose team really has your best interests and venue experience at heart.
