The Grand Hotel Weddings – A Must-See Venue in Carleton Place

ThIf you are looking for an all-in-one luxury venue, then you need to check out The Grand Hotel Weddings in Carleton Place.

About The Grand Hotel Weddings

The Grand Hotel is a fully renovated, luxurious, English-themed historical home built in 1872.  It is located southwest of Ottawa in Carleton Place, Ontario.  With its 16 sleeping rooms, banquet hall, fine dining restaurant and old-English style pub, The Grand Hotel Weddings is an all-in-one luxury venue for your wedding needs.

Getting Ready and Overnight Accommodations at The Grand Hotel

You will love the convenience of the Grand Hotel for getting ready spaces and overnight accommodations for your wedding.  No need for multiple locations and travel to and from.

You can book the entire hotel.  You will have access to 16 rooms to meet your needs.

For getting ready on your wedding day, you can enjoy the opulence of the Master Suite.  It is a  beautifully appointed, spacious, well-lit, 1200 square feet suite.  It has two fireplaces, chandeliers, floor to ceiling windows, sitting room, living room, bedroom and luxurious bathroom with sunken tub.

If the suite is occupied from a wedding the night before, you can still get ready in the spacious lower pub or upper pub.    The Pub is lovely with its lush seating, chandeliers, tin ceilings and warm accents.  Additionally, getting ready in the pub allows you an early start time for hair and makeup.  It also keeps the busyness and disorganization contained in the pub and not in your wedding suite.  You can check into the Suite at 1030.

You may also love the The Owner’s Suite – another popular getting ready space at The Grand Hotel.  It is a bachelor-style room with moody vibes, an open concept and cozy lounge area with contemporary décor.

Moreover, for your guests there are fifteen 5-star guest rooms that are beautifully appointed with decadent amenities.

Maddie and Zayd got ready in the upper and lower pubs and then moved to the Master Suite and the Owner’s Suite for their portraits and First Look.

The Grand Hotel Wedding Ceremony Spaces

Depending on your numbers, you will typically host your ceremony or private event in The Carleton Room.  It has luxurious finishing touches, chandeliers and a focal point fireplace.

Additionally, for intimate weddings in warmer months, you may even be able to hold your ceremony outdoors on the gorgeous stone patio “al fresco”.

You can also use The Ballroom as an option but it is typically reserved as the designated reception space.

The Grounds / Surrounding Areas / Photographic Opportunities

You won’t have to go far for photographic opportunities at The Grand Hotel.

Indoors, you can definitely find endless inspiration in the Master Suite with its 1500 square feet, gorgeous natural light and luxurious furnishings.  It’s also a perfect spot for a private first lookAnd you don’t have to worry about foul weather.

Take a look around.  You can create some dramatic portraits on the main staircase.  The unique furniture in gathering spaces also gives you many options.

Outdoors in good weather, you can take a short walk to a trail that is just off the parking lot for portraits with some greenery as the backdrop.

I like to use the twinkle lights and the outdoor awnings for some end of night creative portraits.
