About Restaurant 18 Weddings

Restaurant 18 is a fine dining restaurant in Ottawa’s Byward Market.  It was established in 2001 and is now critically acclaimed to be one of Canada’s very best restaurants.  The unique building was constructed in 1867.  Today it is popular for its innovative cuisine, award-winning wine list and superior service.  It is a top choice for Ottawa weddings and events.

Sundos and Hamid chose an intimate Restaurant 18 Wedding for their special day.  Read on …

Getting Ready  / Accommodations

Because Restaurant 18 is a fine-dining establishment and not a full-time, designated wedding venue, there are no getting ready spaces, suites or accommodations on site.  However, you can easily find many hotel accommodations nearby in the Byward Market.

The Andaz Hotel is a short walking distance from Restaurant 18 Weddings.  Sundos and Hamid got ready there.  Their symbolic “Handover” (First Look) was on the Terrace where Sundos’s dad “presented” her to Hamid, followed by family photos and the cultural tradition of showering the bride with gold.
